About me
I founded the Social Care Quality Improvement Service out of a deep commitment to raising standards in the sector and ensuring regulatory compliance across Ireland. As a previous Director of Quality and Compliance for a large multi-national organisation, I recognised the need for tailored, region-specific solutions and want to partner with organisations to develop quality and compliance frameworks that support providers in delivering safer, more effective care. My work reflects a belief that better systems lead to better outcomes, not just for care organisations, but for the individuals they serve.

Key Values
My approach to social care quality improvement is grounded in a set of core values that reflect both compassion and precision. At the heart of my work is a commitment to person-centred care, ensuring that services are tailored to the unique needs and dignity of each individual. I emphasise compliance and accountability, recognising that robust systems and clear standards are essential for safe, effective care. My initiatives also reflect a strong belief in collaboration and innovation, working with partners co-create tools that empower providers. Underpinning all of this is a drive for continuous improvement, where learning, feedback, and data are used not just to meet standards, but to exceed them.

Specific Challenges Addressed
I am uniquely equipped to address some of the most pressing challenges in adult social care, including navigating complex regulatory requirements, improving workforce development, and embedding robust quality assurance systems. My strategic approach simplifies compliance, supports staff retention through structured training and career pathways, and fosters operational efficiency, critical in a sector facing significant financial pressures. By championing a culture of continuous improvement and leveraging collaborative tools, I strive to help care providers evolve into resilient, person-centred organizations that consistently deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Leadership Impact
Under my leadership, my team transformed the quality of care by embedding a culture of compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement. By introducing clear care pathways, personalised support plans, and robust staff training, we not only exceeded regulatory standards but also saw measurable improvements in client wellbeing and satisfaction. Families reported feeling more supported, staff morale rose, and service users experienced greater dignity, independence, and quality of life. This wasn’t just a change in process , it was a change in culture, ensuring that every individual received the respect, empathy, and excellence they deserve
